Belinda R. Johnson-Hurtado graduated cum laude from Indiana University School of Law--Bloomington, and received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Legal Studies, cum laude, from the University of Evansville.  She is a 2002 Fellow, Indiana Conference for Legal Education Opportunity (ICLEO).

Belinda serves as a volunteer attorney for the Monroe County Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) program, and has been a volunteer judge for the Sherman Minton Moot Court program. 

Belinda assists with the El Centro Comunal Latino Legal Advice Project (CCLLAP). CCLLAP is a pro bono legal advice program in Monroe County to assist Spanish-speaking individuals in obtaining needed legal services. She also writes a column for the Boletin Comunitario, a monthly newsletter written in Spanish and published by the City of Bloomington's Community & Family Resources Department. The newsletter helps Spanish-speaking families and individuals to obtain information about community services, programs, and events in which they may be interested or wish to participate.

Belinda is also an Adjunct Professor in the Paralegal Studies Department at Ivy Tech Community College, Bloomington.

Belinda's practice areas include civil litigation, medical malpractice defense, insurance defense, business litigation, and administrative law.
